Quotes

Phoebe: Woman to woman, okay. Cole was the love of my life, and I'm finally learning to live without him. Calling him for a favor would open a can of worms that I've been trying to close.

Elise: Woman to woman. If you're still describing this guy as the love of your life, then the can is open, the worms are out, and you may as well use them to go fishing.

Trivia

In every season finale, the front doors of the house are always closed in the last scene. In seasons one and two, Prue did this with her powers. In season three, the demon Shax closes the doors. In season four, the angel of destiny closes the doors. In season five, Chris slams these doors. Season six is the only one that differs, because the last scene is in the hospital recovery room. The recovery room doors shut automatically. See more...

Show season: Whole show  1  2  3  4  5  6  7  All

Updates: Updated recently Series 6

Across whole show

Mistake Continuity: When the Charmed Ones' father, Victor, came to San Francisco in episode 1-3: "Thank You For Not Morphing," his last name was Halliwell. But when he came back in the third season and later, his last name was Bennett.

Mistake Plot hole: In episode 1-2 ("I've Got You Under My Skin"), Alec buys Phoebe a martini at Quake. but then in episode 5-11 ("The Importance of Being Phoebe"), Cole tells Kaya that Phoebe doesn't drink. Then, in episode 5-17 ("Lucky Charmed"), Jason buys Phoebe a "Martini, Dirty" at the end.

Mistake Continuity: You'll notice in some episodes (like "Coyote Piper") that when the sisters look out of the attic window, they can see Prescott Street below, indicating that the attic window is on the front of the house. But if you look at the size and shape of this window, you'll see that there is no window like this on the outside front of the house. In addition, in "Sin Francisco," Phoebe looks out the attic window and sees the front porch from a side view. There's no structure on that side of the house to begin with.

Mistake Plot hole: In episode 1-3, 'Thank You For Not Morphing', when talking about their father, Phoebe says "He sent us birthday cards." But after that episode they made a number of references to the fact that he never sent them birthday cards, like when Piper tries to convince the others to sign Victor's card in episode 2-19.

Mistake Continuity: In Sight Unseen, we can cleary see Cole turn the air conditioning very cold and open all the windows so that the Prue, Piper and Phoebe can see the invisible demon, but in Oh My Goddess (1) Phoebe asks Piper why they have never invested in air conditioning.

Mistake Revealing: Throughout the series, Finola Hughes appeared as Patty, the deceased mother of the Charmed Ones. Although Patty died in 1978, she sometimes appeared in flashbacks and time-travel episodes that took place in the mid to late 1970s, and other times she appeared as a ghost. However, over the eight years of the series, Finola Hughes aged noticeably. Patty was born in 1950, so she should always have been either a young woman in her mid 20s, or an unaging ghost having died at 28.

Mistake Factual error: Considering how the sisters and Cole every now and then - especially during seasons 3-5 - find themselves in some churchyard or cemetery, it should be noted that there are no such places in San Francisco! Except for the original one at an old nunnery, from before the city was founded, and the Presidio Military Churchyard, all graves were moved in the first half of the 20th Century to the cemeteries at Colma, a few miles south of SF. This was done due to the sanitary risks in case of earthquakes, and the lack of space for churchyards downtown.

Mistake Plot hole: When Phoebe first discovered that Leo was an angel and he had come back to help Max, this episode implies that he can only help new witches who are discovering their power, but he stayed with the charmed ones for years.

Something Wicca This Way Comes (series 1, episode 1)

Mistake Other: The newspaper which you can see Prue holding at the end of this episode (right before she 'half-blinks' to shut the door) has something written on it like yadda yadda yadda 'Doubt Fire' yadda yadda yadda. Yep, thats right, the same newspaper from Mrs Doubtfire.

Mistake Continuity: In the scene when Piper and Jeremy are in the taxi, Piper gives him a fortune cookie. You can see her closing the box. In the next shot of Jeremy, you can see the box is still open.

Mistake Other: In the first episode Prue uses her powers to tighten the tie around her boss' neck as she walks down the hall, but in future episodes Prue must be looking at the object she moves with her power.

Mistake Continuity: At the beginning of the episode we see a man standing in the rain in front of the sisters house. After he starts walking away, they show a completely bare tree in front of the house. The next morning when Piper is driving away, they show the same tree with leaves and flowers on it. Trees do not grow that fast.

Mistake Continuity: At the end of the episode the newspaper Prue is holding keeps changing from facing the camera to facing her. And as she turns to the house she drops her hand (and the newspaper) to her side but in the next shot she is holding it to her chest again.

Mistake Continuity: When Prue wonders where the cream is, the little container thereof slides along the table to her. Then the cream drains from the container and burbles up through her coffee. However, that's completely discontinuous with how Prue's power ever worked at any other time in the next three years. The cream should have needed to leap out of the container and into the coffee, simply traveling physically across space.

Mistake Continuity: When Jeremy pulls a knife in the elevator, Piper calls him 'Joey' rather than 'Jeremy'.

I've Got You Under My Skin (series 1, episode 2)

Mistake Continuity: In the previous episode, Piper tried out for a job as a chef at a restaurant called "L'Opera Ristorante" and was hired by Chef Moore. Then in this episode, she works at a bar and restaurant called "Quake," but she talks about Chef Moore quitting and leaving her in charge of the establishment, so it's not meant to be a different place.

Thank You for Not Morphing (series 1, episode 3)

Mistake Plot hole: After the shapeshifter turned from a mailman into Andy, Prue told him about her father returning to town. Later, the real Andy came to the house, and then after a cut, he and Prue were talking about Prue's father, Victor. Andy has known Prue since high school, and therefore knows that Victor has been gone for twenty years. And since Prue only told the shapeshifter about Victor's return, the real Andy didn't know about it. So how could he and Prue have gotten onto the subject of Victor being in San Francisco, a fact that surely would have surprised the real Andy, without Prue figuring out that Andy wasn't the one she talked to earlier that day?

Mistake Visible crew/equipment: In the scene where Prue comes home and finds Andy inside the manor. There is a shot where if you look behind Andy's shoulder you can see half of the body of the director in the background in the observatory room sitting in a director's chair.

Mistake Continuity: In the opening credits they have the sisters' dad (Tony Denison) listed as Victor Halliwell. The next episode ("We All Scream for Ice Cream"), their dad, played by James Read, is called Victor Bennett.

Dead Man Dating (series 1, episode 4)

Mistake Continuity: When Prue runs into Susan Trudeau at the restaurant, she asks if she's Andy's sister, only to find she's his ex-wife. But Prue knew Andy all through high school - she would have known he didn't have a sister.
