Question
I am looking for the name of a film probably made in the 40s or 50s.The final scene shows a blonde haired woman looking up at a house on fire in which a dark haired woman is trapped. It's not "Rebecca" or "Jane Eyre". Answer
I am looking for a title of a b/w film that was made in the early 50's. A housewife writes a letter to her husband that accidentally gets mailed. She then proceeds to try to retrieve the letter or stop the postman. I know this is a very general description. I watched this movie on TCM and the actress looks like Linda Darnell. I've Googled her name and none of the movie descriptions match. I hope someone can help me. It's driving me crazy. Answer
OK, It was a movie I watched a long time ago and I don't remember a whole lot about it, but there is one scene where these kids collect a lot of sweat from people and then drink it. They thought it was going to be good for some reason, but it wasn't (of course). This is driving me mad. Answer
There was a 60's or 70's Saturday morning cartoon series about a superhero (something like a Captain Planet) that was made of weed or grass or something similar. It wasn't controversial because no one caught on to it's drug-overtones. A clip was featured in a compilation documentary of controversial or banned cartoons narrated by (I think) Bob Barker. It might have seen it on YouTube. Answer
I remember an incredibly corny sci-fi show that aired in the late 90s / early 00s. I remember that it involved aliens trying to do various nefarious things on Earth by controlling a few large corporations, and there was a "good" alien who teamed up with a woman, and lived in a houseboat (at least, I remember a houseboat). The main thing that sticks in my head from this show is that the bad aliens had a robot that worked for them, who was a complete ripoff of the liquid metal robot from Terminator 2. Answer
In the 90's, I watched a drama on either the BBC or ITV, set during World War 2, about the story of black American GI's stationed in England and one of them starts a relationship with an English girl, who then gets pregnant. I think the girl is already married, and the GI dies. Does this sound familiar to anyone? Answer
I am trying to think of a movie from the 80's/ early 90's about a boy, and a gem or ring of some sort, an elevator, some kind of underwater place, and there is a talking turtle in it. I believe he is trying to keep a bridge from being built. If anyone knows what I am talking about it would help. Thank you. Answer
Does anyone know the title of a movie where the main character is pregnant in prison and in labor for much of the movie, but unseen? The husband is there worrying about her, and the doctor's tell him they can either save the baby or her - he says save his wife. Then, the woman wakes up, the doctor's ask her what to do, and she tells them to save the baby. I think the movie was in black & white, so it is really old. It is not Women's Prison or Caged. Thank you for answering this. Answer
I watched a film in the 90's, which I'm guessing was made in the 80's or 90's. If I remember correctly, the film was about an inter-racial relationship (set in the past), with a white guy and black woman who fall in love in a community somewhere in America's south, and their relationship seems to be accepted there. They move to Washington, to a black neighbourhood, and have one or more kids, but their relationship doesn't seem to be accepted in Washington. I remember enjoying this film, but I haven't a clue what it is. Answer
In one of Pixar's first computer animated short films, "Red's Dream", A jazz score composed by David Slusser constantly plays at the background. What is the name of that score? Answer
Does anyone remember the name of this Christian scare film aimed at teens? I saw in in 1990. A bunch of teen drivers are killed in a car wreck. Heaven is like a hotel. The desk clerk asks for their reservations. Only the Christian teen has reservations, the rest are hurled down a firey elevator. It ends with a computer screen listing dozens of 'not confirmed' reservations, as 'Jesus Loves Me' plays. Anyone? Answer
I am looking for the title of a movie that I probably saw in the 90s. A lot of scenes are in a cabin in the snowy mountains that was owned by a girl's mother or aunt who passed away, I think. The special thing about the movie is the interior of the cabin/house. The rooms each have their respective colour. I remember an entirely red and an entirely green room. Even the girls inhabiting the rooms wore red or green clothes, respectively. Anyone remember this? Thanks a lot for your help. Answer
I would like to know the name of a movie. It's a foreign film from about the mid nineties. The plot was basically that a series of murders was going down in an apartment block and that a man was a suspect. The lead female was attracted to this man (I think she was a therapist) and didn't believe him to be the killer. Towards the end she provides a solid alibi for him in that he was upstairs typing all night. The ending of the movie finds our heroine finding a tape in his apartment - a tape of him typing. She realises he is the killer and a fight ensues. Please help. Answer
Tough one here: I only saw a brief movie trailer for this film back in the 70's or 80's. It was a British film that showed a man in a cap and gown (similiar to a graduation outfit) running down a street from a high angle (from a rooftop?) He freezes in mid-run while a voice-over says, "See this man? He...(don't remember). Very good. Carry on". Then it showed this same man teaching in a room of lovely college women. He leans over a desk and asks a very pretty blonde a question. She answers with the title character's name which is spelled out on the screen, letter by letter. The professor then shouts, "Correct!" and turns around, very happy with what she said. Answer
Does anyone remember a short film in which the premise is that a sidewalk becomes a keyboard? As far as I can recall, a man discovers that when walking across a certain sidewalk it plays like a piano. Then various people join in to play songs on it. It was probably from the early 1970s, and filmed either in the UK or Europe. It couldn't have been longer than 15-20 minutes. Answer
I can't remember the title of this movie. Maybe someone can help me out. All I remember is a guy on a camel, I believe on the desert, when this other guy appears who looks like he's from a silent film. He says, in subtitles, "You should come to Hollywood. Too bad you don't know how to speak in subtitles." Answer
I saw an animated film, must have been about 1995 on TV with, amongst other characters, a dog who ends up in the sewers being consumed by 'grey stuff'. Anyone above ground who touches them also gets covered in it. Can't remember any more than that but would like to know the film. Answer
In the 50's my sister and I saw a black and white Western. Standard formula - good guys, bad guys, Indians, railroad, miners etc. There was a scene in the movie where a grizzled type character gave a group of Indians who were high on "fire water" sticks of dynamite in place of cigars and then snuck away. You hear a loud boom in the background making you think the Indians tried to smoke the "cigars". We cannot remember the name of this movie or who the actors in it were. Can someone please help? Answer
I remember watching a movie in the 90s - it started with some kind of party and basically this guy has written a novel about pirates or something like that. And somehow him and his friends end up inside his novel and they are captured by pirates. I remember the pirates were fighting against some sort of Spanish troops/Spanish empire. It was all set in a jungle. And I think somehow the guys help the pirates and then escape and find a chest in a tunnel. It seems really weird but it's a great movie and I really wanna know what it's called. I have a feeling it is based on a novel. The movie's name was the same name as the novel in the film. It was one word and I think it was in Latin. I think the word ended in "icus". Answer
There was a movie in the 80s or 90s and it was about murders in college. I remember this student was murdering teachers and students and nobody knew who it was. He killed the librarian or some teacher by squashing her head in the photocopier. The only hint that people found was the guy's ring, which was on the photocopied sheet. And this girl student blamed her boyfriend because apparently she had given him the ring, but it had been stolen by the murderer student a long time ago. I remember that it ended with the murderer student having trapped the girl in a some sort of cellar or boiler room and forcing her to kiss him. So she told him she would and when he shut his eyes, she bashed his head with a hammer from the table. Answer
