Mac MacGuff: Did you see that coming?

Bren MacGuff: Yeah... but I was hoping she was expelled, or into hard drugs.

Mac MacGuff: Or DWI... anything but this.

Juno (2007) - 5 corrections

starring Allison Janney, Ellen Page, J.K. Simmons, Jason Bateman, Jennifer Garner, Michael Cera (add more)

Comments made in brackets are corrections from other visitors. As such, any aggressive/abusive corrections (and I get quite a few) written as if they're comments I've made myself will be ignored. To submit your own corrections for mistakes, just click the edit icon under an entry, then choose "correct entry". Some entries have "duplicated entry" after them - these are entries which were already listed on the main page, but were submitted again. I occasionally leave these online for a while, just in case they were moved in error, so don't worry about pointing them out to me.

Entry At one part of the film, the Jason Bateman character shows Juno a VHS tape of a rare horror film. However, the tape somehow fills his widescreen plasma/LCD TV. Since when are VHS tapes capable of displaying in 16:9 enhanced widescreen? Yes, technically they could have been watching on zoom or 16:9 stretch, but the image on the screen looks unstretched and too good for zoom mode, especially for VHS. [Quite easily. Using my setup as an example I have my set top box connected to my VCR. The image is being presented like a DVD player in which if the channel being broadcast is in widescreen then the image being recorded on video will also be in widescreen.]
Entry In the scene where Juno calls her friend to tell her she is pregnant, her friend asks "Juno?" to which Juno replies, "No, it's Morgan Freeman. Do you have some bones that need collecting?" This is a reference to the movie "The Bone Collector". However it was Denzel Washington, not Morgan Freeman, who starred in that movie. [That can be put down to a character mistake.]
Entry Juno claims that she is named after the wife of Zeus, the chief God in Greek mythology. Juno was, however, the wife of Jupiter, the chief god in Roman mythology. [Juno said she doesn't know if it was right so it is a charcter mistake.]
Entry In the scene when Juno and Paulie are making out by the track, Paulie's hand is in his sweatshirt pocket then the shot changes and his hand is now around Juno's waist without enough time for it to have moved that far. [No, in a close up shot on her waist you can see him doing it.]
Entry In one scene Juno puts a large number of Tic-Tacs in the letterbox outside Paulie's house. This appears to be at the street end of the path from the front door to the "gateway" in the front fence. In the last scene, Juno and Paulie are sitting on the front fence on either side of the "gateway". There is no letterbox visible even when the camera pulls back to reveal almost the entire frontage of the property. [They are not at Bleekers house when they are playing guitar, they are at Junos house.]
