The Movie Banter podcast!
While I was away with a couple of friends recently, one of them (Paul Kerensa, comic, writer, and creator of themovietimeline.com) suggested that the two of us should do a podcast, and the result is now available - just click the link below to download it. This is our first attempt at anything like this - it's essentially just the two of us bantering about new releases and older films we've seen recently, and may prove to be of interest to many people, or absolutely no-one, but we had fun doing it. This week we cover Quantum of Solace, Saw V, Max Payne, and Ghost Town, among others. It's unfortunately unavoidable that being Brits we'll often be a bit behind US cinema releases (except in the case of Quantum of Solace, which we got two weeks earlier), but hopefully no-one will really mind.
If you give it a listen and have any opinions at all, be they positive, negative, suggestions, criticisms, you name it, please let us know, because while we're mostly doing it for our own amusement, obviously we'd like people to enjoy it too, so we need to know what people want more or less of. Due to its experimental nature we can't promise a new one each week just yet, but watch this space...

Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom - daily screenshot (previous daily screenshots)
When Indy is fighting on the conveyor belt, he is about to be run over a couple of times, but in the next shot he is further away.
Current releases
Here are some entries from current cinema/DVD releases. For more entries and a breakdown of US and UK cinema and DVD charts, click here.
Quantum of Solace mistakes
At the end of "Casino Royale," Bond is wearing a three-piece suit. Although "Quantum of Solace" begins just minutes later, Bond is wearing a completely different, two-piece, suit.
Iron Man mistakes
In the extra footage after the credits, the reflection of the crew is visible in the picture frames around the apartment.
Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull mistakes
The movie supposedly is set in 1957, yet Mutt's motorcycle is based on a 2000 or newer Harley Davidson softail, showing the modern-day controls and Twin Cam motor, instead of the panhead motor that would have been the period-correct engine for 1957. It also has a front disc brake - you can see the master cylinder on the handlebars. Again, out-of-place on a 1957 bike.
Sex and the City: The Movie mistakes
When Carrie is talking to Miranda on her bed she has a Sharpie pen attached to her sundress strap, in another shot it is gone, then in the next shot the Sharpie is back.
Saw V mistakes
Throughout the movie, the clocks show incorrect time and at times changes from 8:20 to 18:20 and the countdown clock shows wrong sequencing.
The Incredible Hulk mistakes
When the Hulk walks through the stream, the water doesn't react to his feet.
Leatherheads mistakes
The movie takes place in 1926 but when the announcer mentions a "Hail Mary" play near the end of the movie the term hadn't been coined yet. Dallas Cowboys quarterback and devout Catholic Roger Staubach was believed to have first used it after executing that play in a 1975 NFL NFC semifinal playoff game.
Forgetting Sarah Marshall mistakes
In the scene where the guy walks in on Peter naked in bed, the sheet protecting Peter's modesty is covering him in one frame, and the next moment it has vanished completely.
Mamma Mia! mistakes
At the end of Voulez Vous, the people pick up Sophie. In one shot her hair falls down to her shoulders, camera cuts and it falls back down again.
High School Musical 3: Senior Year mistakes
At graduation, after Troy is handed the diploma, in the overhead shot the graduates on the left and right stand-up from their seats, then turn and walk towards each other. All their seats simply disappear between shots. Obviously done deliberately for the dance sequence, but a mistake nonetheless.
