| Rank | Title | Mistake |
|---|---|---|
Rocky III | Just before the second fight with Clubber and just after the pre-fight brawl, when the camera switches to the shot of Rocky and Apollo you can see a director's chair at the top right of the screen with "Mr. T" written on it.
Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull | One of the characters says that the Conquistador took the skull in the "Fifteenth Century." The Fifteenth Century ended in 1501, while the first Conquistadors did not come to the Americas until several years later.
Vantage Point | In Barnes' perspective, when Taylor asks him if he saw the shooter, Barnes replies, "No, but I saw something, like a flash of light." In the Howard Lewis perspective, Barnes doesn't say "No, but..."
National Treasure: Book of Secrets | In the scene when everyone is moving the wheel so to close the (gates which would eventually stop the water) there in one scene the lamp is on the wheel which is being turned and in the other scene when a top angle shot of the wheel is taken it is not there.
Speed 2: Cruise Control | At the end, the angle of the ship is differant between the interior and the exterior shots.

Get Smart | When Max is near Agent 23 on the helicopter roof pad, Max's watch geiger counter doesn't go off, but later, outside the Concert Hall building, it does.
Wanted | Fox tells the story about herself as a girl and she shows him the scar on her neck. Throughout the rest of the movie the scar doesn't appear anymore.
Sideways | In the scene where Miles and Maya walk up the stairs to her apartment, the stairs go straight in to her front door. Later, after their altercation, he drops her off and the stairs she climbs are at a right angle to her unit, not straight on.
American Gangster | The camera pans from the opening of the subway tunnel to Lucas' street corner, which is shown to be on the intersection of 116th Street and 8th Avenue (in green with white lettering). This is impossible, as the Manhattan Valley Viaduct, which carries the IRT Broadway-7th Avenue Line, spans from 122nd to 135th streets, and does not do so on 8th Avenue. While there is a subway line under 8th Avenue by 116th Street (IND 8th Avenue Line), it is all underground and no such opening exists. Also, the viaduct closes several blocks north of 116th street, therefore you should not see any tracks. The corner that you see is actually W 135th Street and Broadway, as the viaduct exists only on Broadway in Manhattan. Also, the signs are green with white lettering. This was not so in the 60's-70's, as in the entire borough of Manhattan during this period, street signs were yellow with black lettering.
Seven Brides for Seven Brothers | At the end of Goin' Courtin', Daniel says "fighting and trapping" in the wrong order. You can just hear him if you listen very carefully but it is really obvious if you watch his mouth.
Sex and the City: The Movie | When Carrie is leaving her apartment for the final time before marrying Big (she's wearing a purple dress), she is walking around with a handbag, but when she leaves she is now carrying a laptop.
Cloverfield | I just watched this film on DVD. I know this is a rule of the genre (see 28 Days/Weeks and Die Hard movies) but I find Beth's remarkable recovery from being speared with an iron bar - and stuck there for hours losing blood circulation and muscle cramping - to running around in Central Park helping Rob wholly unbelievable. Maybe she could limp down her building stairs, but whatever physical efforts she does afterwards are even more impossible than those of the monster.
I Am Legend | At the beginning of the movie when he is driving his Mustang, the movie is shot inside the car several times. If you look carefully you can see that the same background scene has been used twice. In the scene, you see a red wall from a building and a grey car standing along that red wall. This scene is used twice.
Dr. Strangelove | When Major Kong is riding the bomb down like a horse, there is absolutely no wind whatsoever. Not only do we not hear it, but we can also not see any wind effects on Major Kong, as he can be heard to yell and holler quite clearly, and he is waving his hat like there is no danger of it blowing out of his hand.
The Love Guru | Guru Pitka was wearing a chasity belt throughout the whole movie. So after the Bangcok joke and where he got punched, the belt should have proteced him and he shouldn't have been in any pain.
27 Dresses | At the bar/club for the co-worker's engagement party, after Kevin asks Jane if she likes the flowers he sent, Jane excuses herself and goes outside to the back of the bar and starts screaming. When Jane exits she leaves the heavy metal door open so you are able to see inside the club. You also see boxes and other misc. things lying around. Then after Jane hits the wall with her purse, the camera is facing towards her, and you see the scenery change. The door is now a nice wooden door, the misc. scenery is gone and the door is also closed.
Nanny McPhee | Whenever Mr. Brown is at his work in front of a dead man, you can easily see any of the men (if more than one) twitching and breathing. This espically occurs when Mr. Brown is talking to Simon; the man's abdomen is moving.
Halloween III: Season of the Witch | During the scene where Dr. Challis is in the bar, he asks the bartender to change the tv channel after getting ticked off at the continuous Halloween song commercial. The new channel has a football game playing on it. According to the timeline for the movie, this day was Friday, October 29th. Very unlikely any televised football would be playing on television on a Friday in October, even college football.
Empire Records | Joe is yelling at Lucas for losing the money and tells him that he can't leave the couch unless he gets him 9,000 dollars. At this point in the movie Joe could not have known how much money was actually there since he did not close and had not asked Lucas how much had been there when he did close.
Wall-E | When everybody was going to the central area where the plant was being deposited, they all had special helmets on, but when they were all there and fell out of their chairs nobody was wearing them - if they all took them off or they fell off there were none on the ground either.
10,000 B.C. | In the scene where D'Leh kills the mammoth, he throws a spear at it which sticks in quite far and does not droop. A throw from a man would not pierce a mammoth's skin very deep if at all and when the second spear is in the mammoth, the first is nowhere to be found. As for the second spear, even if its rough wooden frame didn't snap under the force of several tons of tough skinned mammoth hurtling into it at a severe angle, it did not hit an area, nor did it go deep enough to damage any vital organs. Had it been a steel shafted razor edge, it may have gone right through the sternum into the upper chest cavity, where it still wouldn't hit a vital organ. And even though the fall drove the spear into a potentially life-threatening position, the mammoth would not have fallen, negating the death in its entirety.
The Fast and the Furious: Tokyo Drift | In the scene where Sean is passing computer notes to Nila in class, Nila's screen is full of Japanese characters but her keyboard is in English. Sean's screen shows the same Japanese characters. In the short time that Sean has been in Japan, he'd be hard pressed to understand what's going on with the language itself, let alone the actual writing.
What Happens in Vegas... | When Mason runs into Joy at the park, a dog in the background drastically changes positions from shot to shot.
Superman II | Zod punches Superman and makes him fly backwards and crash against a metal structure. The wide shot shows him in the middle of it, but in the immediate close one, he is located on the right side.
The Blues Brothers | Obviously done for comedic reasons, but Wrigley Field is too recognizable to Chicagoans to be mistaken for a private residence.
Equilibrium | In the pistol whipping scene, we see Preston deploying a set of "studs" from his pistols. However, in a later shot, where we see the pistol butt's closing reflection on a visor, the studs aren't out.
Ferris Bueller's Day Off | Notice Jeanie's watch at the police station, and how it changes by hours during the short scene with Charlie Sheen.
Hancock | When Hancock puts Mary on the hospital bed after she's been shot, the blood on her shirt changes drastically from shot to shot.
Gridiron Gang | As the team is loading up to go to their first game, the coach calls Evans over, and allows him to be their equipment manager. He tells Evans that he will get him a Mustang shirt, but it will take a lot of fabric (because of his size), and to give him time to find one large enough. However, during their first game, Evans is wearing a Mustangs shirt plenty large enough for him. Coach sure ordered that shirt quickly.
The Naked Gun | When cutting into the cake with the queen's portrait on it, the waiter slices across the inner corner of the queen's right eye. However, the two pieces of cake served to Jane and Frank both have complete and uncut eyes.
