The criminologist describes the events of the movie as taking place "on a late November evening". In the very next scene, Brad and Janet are driving in Brad's car, and President Richard Nixon's resignation speech is playing on the radio. Nixon resigned in August of 1974.

When the shark bursts through the window of the cabin, in each of the shots facing Brody, including when he shoves the air tank into the shark's mouth, the glistening water is visible in the window's reflection behind Brody. The shark's reflection is never seen behind Brody, despite the shark's massive size in the small cabin. Bruce must have had the day off during Roy Scheider's takes.

Two passengers play a piano/vaudeville routine in the lounge for the officers and passengers. During its initial season (1936) Hindenburg had a lightweight aluminum baby grand piano on board. However, passenger accommodations were expanded over the winter of 1936/37 and the piano was removed. There was no piano aboard Hindenburg on her fatal flight in May 1937.

During "Eyesight to the Blind," The Preacher's guitar changes from a red Les Paul to a black Stratocaster. It's not blatantly obvious, but easy enough to spot without slow-mo.

When George arrives at Jackie's, he has the hair dryer in his belt and he then walks up the stairs to her door. The electrical cord is wound around the dryer differently in these shots.

Just after Sonny says, of Sal, that "that man bites" a potted plant seems to disappear then reappear from the counter. Sonny and the head cashier are moving down the counter getting the cash from each position as they go and, if you look at the signs on the counter, you can see that some shots are shown out of order; there are some shots of "Maria"'s position (no plant) interleaved with the previous position (with a plant). But the end effect is the same - appearing and disappearing plant.

The Eiger Sanction |
At the Zurich sanction when Jonathan kicks the killer out of the window, just before he kicks him, look at the window. This window has two panes of glass that open outward, with the latch in the middle, but a view from the outside shows that it's a single window with one pane of glass in it, not big enough for two panes.

As Machine Gun Joe runs slowly runs over a fisherman in a small brook, he stops and "peels out" on his head. You can see a film crewman in the driver's seat doing the actual carnage.

Bite the Bullet |
Near the end, Sam Clayton is nearing the finish. The audio leads you to believe that the horse is breathing VERY hard, but when the camera shows the horse, the nostrils are NOT flared as they would be on a horse that has been run to exhaustion (or even down the block.) Also, the people filming this scene obviously have no clue about the nature of sweating in horses. They showed "lather" all through the horse's mane. The ONLY places horses will lather while sweating is where something is rubbing, i.e. underneath the saddle, the bridle or breast collar, where the reins rub on the neck or between their back legs.
